On 15 August 1944 began in Saint-Tropez, Sainte-Maxime and Saint-Raphael “Operation Anvil-Dragoon”, ie,the landing in Provence. Operation that would allow, among other things, the liberation of Toulon before the end of the month.
To celebrate the 70th anniversary of this event, in which took part thousands of Allied soldiers, a great naval parade will take place along the Var coast. This parade will start from the Cap d’Antibes and will arrive in Toulon. All the ships will pass by the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle on which will be the president and his guests.
